WINNIPEG — A long-standing music store in Winnipeg’s Exchange District is closing its doors to the public December 31.
The Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store made the announcement Thursday. “With the change in music-buying trends, we’ve seen declining revenues over the past few years and have made the difficult decision to say goodbye to the store,” according to the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store’s blog post.

The store opened in 1982 on Osborne Street before moving to it’s current location on Albert Street and Bannatyne Avenue.
It will be have a blowout sale on merchandise sale throughout the month.
