LETHBRIDGE – If you’re planning on driving the rural highways near Lethbridge on December 5, you might find yourself pulling up to a unique check stop.
Staff with the Raymond Magrath RCMP Detachment, Ridge Regional Public Safety Services and the Lethbridge Corridor Victim Services Unit are teaming up for a roaming check stop for charity.
Food and toy donations will be collected, on behalf of local residents, for food banks and needy families in the area.
People who stop to donate will be rewarded with candy canes. Motorists are reminded that it is strictly a charity event, and are free to continue through the check stop if they do not wish to donate.
Here are the locations and times of the Dec. 5 charity check stop:
Stirling: Main Street (4 Ave) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Raymond: Broadway Ave from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Magrath: Main Street (1 St W) from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
