WINDSOR JUNCTION, N.S. – Forcible confinement and firearms charges have been laid against a man after a woman was reportedly held in a vehicle and threatened with a firearm early Tuesday morning.
The police were called called to the scene of the incident on Windsor Junction Road at about 2 a.m. Tuesday. Police located the vehicle the woman was being held in and arrested the 23-year-old Shane Frizzell.
Officers seized a firearm, which was determined to be a, “very realistic looking pellet gun.”
Police also located a stolen vehicle used by the accused.
Frizzell has been charged with forcible confinement, using an imitation firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, among several other offences.
He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Tuesday.
