WINNIPEG — A string of vehicle vandalism in the Crestview area left several drivers without a rear window Monday.

Some car owners parked on Stradford St. or Buchanan Boulevard arrived to find the windows smashed in, with as many as 12 separate vehicles missing a portion or their entire rear window.

Winnipeg Police say none of the break-ins reported involved anything being stolen from inside the vehicles. Residents tell Global News they’re shocked by the concentrated vandalism on the street.

It came just as officers released a warning Monday morning about an increase in thefts from vehicles parked in personal driveways.
