RCMP investigating in Lee Creek after body found

Chase RCMP are investigating after a body was found at the scene of a reported shooting in Lee Creek, B.C this weekend.

They responded to reports of a shooting at 7:45 p.m. on November 28 in the 2500 block of Squilax Anglemont Road, just west of the town of Chase.

When they arrived, they found one dead female inside. A man also at the residence was arrested, and remains in custody.

The victim’s name has not been released, and RCMP say there is no risk to the public.

Police believe the death was suspicious, and are asking anyone with information to contact Chase RCMP at 250-679-3221 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
