REGINA – Regina Police have arrested four men in connection with a counterfeit money ring in the Queen City.
Between November 16 and November 26 police have received numerous complaints from businesses and financial institutions about counterfeit American twenty, fifty, and hundred dollar bills being used to buy goods and services around Regina.
Police executed a search warrant on two homes in the city and seized over $4800 in fake US bills, equipment used in the manufacture of counterfeit money, and drugs.
45-year-old Gregory Troy Hamilton, 38-year-old Julie Michelle Langley, 39-year-old Richard Austin Nelson 48-year-old Trevor Thomas Trueit are all facing charges that include Possession of American Counterfeit Money, Possession of Counterfeit Making Equipment and Production of Counterfeit Money.
All four will be held until their next court appearance on November 30th.
