MONTREAL – Quebec is on track to a zero deficit in 2015-2016, according to Quebec’s Finance Minister Carlos Leitao.
Thursday, he gave an economic update and broke down the details of how it’s going so far in the province.

Growth is at 1.5 per cent – a slight difference from the Liberal’s original 2 per cent forecast.
The deficit has dropped from $2.35 billion to $1.1 billion.
For education, the government has added $20 million this year, and an additional $80 million for next year.
That money is intendedto go to vulnerable students.
The annual education budget is $17 billion.
