Pedestrian struck by train, closes several roads in Elmwood overnight

WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are investigating after a person was struck by a train in Elmwood.

Police were called on scene around 11:45 p.m. Thursday night.

Around 12:30 a.m. Friday, police said via Twitter they are investigating and drivers should expect delays as the train was blocking Panet Road to Grey Street.

Around 2:30 a.m. Winnipeg police had cleared the scene.
