NYPD release disturbing video showing burglar crawling into family bedroom as they sleep

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has released disturbing footage of one family’s close encounter with a man who allegedly broke into their home.

An armed intruder can be seen in footage captured on a family’s hidden nanny-cam walking through the house in the dead of night just feet from where the family lay sleeping.

The NYPD say the home invasion happened around 2:30 A.M. Wednesday morning in Queens, New York.

Multiple cameras capture an unidentified man entering the home in the area of Union Street and 33rd Avenue where a husband and wife live along with three children, ages 3 to 6.

Carrying what police say was a knife between his teeth, the man is seen crawling through the couple’s bedroom before inspecting their personal items.

The woman wakes up when the suspect goes to lift a smartphone off the top of a dresser, prompting the alleged thief to flee the home.
