SAINT JOHN – Dennis Oland will testify at his second-degree murder trial.
Defence lawyer Gary Miller told a full courtroom on day 43 of the trial that Oland and other family members will be testifying in the coming days and weeks.
Dennis Oland has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the bludgeoning death of his father, Richard Oland at his Saint John office on July 7, 2011.
The Crown wrapped up their case on Wednesday. Today marks the first day for the defence to present its case.

Oland’s wife Lisa, sister Jacqueline Walsh, and mother Connie Oland will also be among witnesses for the defence.
Miller also said he will call two expert witnesses. The first will be Patrick Laturnus, a blood stain pattern analyst.
The trial continues on Monday.
