VERDUN – A 37-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly firing a gun in Verdun.
Police were called after residents heard shots being fired at 9:15 p.m. on LaSalle Boulevard, near 5th Avenue.
Police scoured the area for hours.
“The man was transported to the detention centre,” said Montreal police spokesperson Abdullah Emran, who added the man will probably face charges of unloading a firearm.

“The suspect fired his gun in the vicinity of where he was eventually arrested.”
There were no reported injuries.
