The people who turned out for a public meeting in Squamish Thursday night seem to support a proposed sightseeing gondola.
The gondola would travel 820 metres from a base between the Chief and Shannon Falls, to a ridge northwest of Mount Haybrick.

The plan calls for some land from a provincial park to be used to allow for the construction of lift towers.
The district of Squamish has already given the project the green light.
Most of the residents at the meeting are backing the gondola.
