Drug investigation leads to five arrests

WINNIPEG — Five people are facing numerous charges after the Winnipeg police Street Crimes Unit acted on a search warrant in a downtown suite.

The unit, along with the Tactical Support Team, executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant in the 400 block of Furby Street.

Investigators seized:

12 gauge shotgun and ammunition
.22 calibre rifle and ammunition
2 x bear spray
Taser
3 x pellet guns
64 grams of marihuana – valued at $640.00
9 grams of methamphetamine – valued at $1350.00
7 MDMA – valued at $70.00
$25,000.00 cash
Other miscellaneous drug related paraphernalia

Courtney Evans (19), Sabrina Tyson (38), Susan Sandy (35), Adrian Scott (29) and an unnamed 69-year-old-male have been charged of face numerous drug and weapon related charges due to their alleged involvement.

All of the accused have been remanded into custody.
