Lethbridge police resolve ‘high-risk situation’ on Grand River Blvd. West

Lethbridge police said a “high-risk situation” that unfolded early Sunday morning has been resolved.

Members of the tactical team were called to 191 Grand River Blvd. West to help patrol officers early Sunday morning; the public was asked to avoid the 100 block of Grand River Blvd. at about 8 a.m. as a result.

Two people living in the home were later arrested and taken into custody for questioning. Police recovered a firearm from the home; no further details were released.

The investigation continues.
