MONTREAL – A man wanted in connection with an armed sexual assault in Toronto earlier this month was arrested in Montreal Saturday night.
Brennan Wayne Guigue, 45, was accused of assaulting a woman close to midnight on Nov. 6 in downtown Toronto.
Police say a man holding a gun forced a woman behind a building near Yonge and Alexander streets, bound her hands and sexually assaulted her.
He fled when three men exited a cab nearby. They called police and the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Guigue was also the suspect in the armed robbery of a restaurant near King and Sherbourne streets on Nov. 17.
He is due in court in Montreal Monday.
