65th Edition of Santa Claus Parade in Montreal

New features include floats for Le grand Sapin, À la recherche du Pôle Nord and the La Guerre des Tuques 3D guest float.

MONTREAL – Santa Claus is coming to town on Saturday, officially kicking off the holiday season in Montreal.

Young children wrapped in warm blankets lined the sidewalks on Ste-Catherine Street eagerly awaiting the 65th edition of the Santa Claus Parade.

The excitement was palpable with kids, some wearing big red noses and yellow antlers, chanting: “Père Noël, Père Noël,” or “Santa Claus, Santa Claus.”

Starting at 11:00 a.m., more than twenty floats, including the Star Fairy’s and Santa Claus’s started making their way along Ste-Catherine Street West, starting at Fort Street, to wrap up on Saint-Urbain Street.

Dancers and street perfomers joined the fray, entertaining the crowds along the way.
