WATCH: Residents dispute government tamper theory at Cooke Creek

NEAR ENDERBY, B.C. – It knocked out a bridge, took down power lines and destroyed a large section of Mabel Lake Road. Investigators have come to the conclusion that a massive mudslide in Enderby last year was no accident.

The Ministry of Forests says it has evidence that someone may have tampered with some culverts forcing Dale Lake to spill its banks.

It sent a torrent of debris down Cooke Creek.

But as Kelly Hayes reports, some area residents are having a hard time swallowing the government’s theory.
