KELOWNA–UBCO students organized an event to honour those affected by terrorist attacks around the world, and to promote cultural understanding.
Everyone attending was encouraged to wear black.
Students met in the courtyard for a moment of silence before listening to speeches and putting their fingerprints on a canvas in the shape of hearts.
The event received support from 10 cultural clubs on campus.
The Social Student Union plans on starting a new campaign, called “Spread Love”, and it’s hoping the idea will spread to other campuses across Canada.
