MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Mayor Bonnie Crombie will lead a vigil in Mississauga Sunday to mourn the victims of the recent Paris attacks, and other terror killings around the globe.
The vigil, planned for 4 p.m. Sunday in Celebration Square will pay respects to the 129 victims of Friday’s attacks in the French capital, but marks other attacks in Beirut, Kenya and Baghdad.

“I invite all residents to come together and take part in this vigil of solidarity, peace, and remembrance,” Crombie said. “Together, we will demonstrate our community’s unequivocal determination to stand up to fear and violence, and stand firm in defence of the unwavering universal values of peace, adherence to the rule of law, and respect for all people, of all backgrounds.”

ISIS bomb attacks killed at least 43 and injured another 250 in Beirut Thursday, the day before the Paris attack.
Also on Friday, an ISIS suicide bomber killed 26 people at the Baghdad funeral of a pro-government Shia militia fighter,
The ceremony also marks the April massacre in Garissa, Kenya when al-Shabab militants killed 148 people at Garissa University College.
