Victoria’s Cadboro Bay Beach closed after needles found

A boat that tipped over on Cadboro Bay Beach spilled needles, causing the beach to be closed indefinitely by the District of Saanich .

A popular beach in Greater Victoria is closed until further notice.

Cadboro Bay Beach is closed after a number of needles were found this morning.

They washed off a boat that came aground during yesterday’s storm, according to the District of Saanich’s engineering department.

Transport Canada and Saanich staff are on site and working to remove the vessel.
