KELOWNA – An accused Kelowna drug trafficker is trying to pin the crime on a former good friend.
Niclole Marie Hubek, 32, was charged after 15 kilograms of methylone, known on the street as bath salts, were mailed from China and delivered to her residence in August 2013.
It’s a type of synthetic amphetamine that’s illegal in Canada.
Hubek testified she accepted the three packages on behalf of her friend and didn’t know what they contained.
The police search of Hubek’s residence turned up her day-timer book that was a score-sheet for various drug transactions.
Hubek admitted to keeping the records but testified it was on behalf of her her drug dealing boyfriend, claiming she never sold any drugs.
Hubek also told the judge her boyfriend didn’t have anything to do with the importing of the methylone.
The trial continues Friday.
