KELOWNA – A motorist who allegedly caused a Highway 97 crash 15 months ago that killed a woman has now been charged.
The head-on collision near the Kelowna airport happened on the Labour Day weekend last year.
Witnesses reported a southbound pickup truck veered across the centre-line and struck an on-coming sedan.
A Manitoba woman in the car died at the scene while her husband suffered serious head injuries.

The pickup caught fire and other motorists helped free the driver from the flaming wreckage.
He has been charged with driving without due care and attention under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Seth Wing, 34, from the Comox area returns to Kelowna court Thursday after earlier being granted time to consult legal counsel.
At the time, police said excessive speed was believed to be a factor in the crash.
