Toronto chiropractor Allan Bortnick faces additional sex assault charges

TORONTO – A Toronto chiropractor and naturopath arrested for allegedly sexual assaulting two patients earlier this year now faces three additional charges, Toronto police announced Wednesday.

Police say Dr. Allan Bortnick, 66, was originally arrested both on April 8 and July 9 for sexually assaulting two patients under his treatment.

It is further alleged that three more of his patients were sexually assaulted on Oct. 6, 2003, between Jan. to Dec. 2008, and March 31, 2011.

Police say Dr. Bortnick was arrested on Nov. 3 in connection to the new allegations and faces three counts of sexual assault.

He appeared in court on Nov. 3 and police believe there may be more victims.
