EDMONTON – The Edmonton Oilers and Oil Kings are hoping to help prevent their fans from getting the flu.

Fans over the age of nine will be able to get a flu shot during the Oilers homes games on Nov. 3 and 6, and the Oil Kings game on Nov. 7.

“We want our fans to stay healthy and cheer on the Oilers and Oil Kings throughout the season and a flu shot is an important way to do that,”  said Bob Nicholson, Chief Executive Officer, Oilers Entertainment Group.

Some of the steps to stay healthy and minimize the spread of germs include washing your hands frequently, keeping your hands away from your face and coughing and sneezing into your arm, not your hand.

“It’s often said, the best offence is a good defence,” said Jürgen Schreiber, Rexall CEO.

“There is no better defence for protecting your family, friends, co-workers and yourself from getting sick than getting a flu shot.”
