PINCOURT, QUE.- A Pincourt teenager has found a unique way to honour his sister who is battling cancer.
Simon Gibeau is going trick-or-treating for himself and his 11-year-old sister Sara.
Gibeau’s costume is a hospital gown, his sister’s hat and a poster with pictures of Sara before and during cancer treatment.
“I’m saying that I care about her,” the 13-year-old explained.
Sara is back at home but due to her compromised immune system, can’t go out trick-or-treating.
Lucie Beaulieu, Sara’s mother, says its good to see the siblings sticking together during this difficult time.
“It’s great that he’s stepping up and being the good big brother, I know he can be,” a smiling Beaulieu told Global News.
Simon’s costume has received support online after the family posted their story on Facebook.
