A video of a toddler dressed as notorious Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar has gone viral.

The short Facebook video shows the child dressed in a floral shirt, sporting a fake mustache and holding a toy gun and carrying a briefcase with some cash hanging out if it.

The video was uploaded by Irish musician Sneijder on Tuesday and has over 640,000 views. Viral video-sharing website Break also picked up the video where it has been viewed over 4 million times on its Facebook page.

However, many viewers were quick to criticize the choice of costume for the child.

“Pablo Escobar is more than the king of coke. He is also the creator of narco terrorism which claimed the life of thousands of innocent people. Including little kids like this one,” Maicol Manzi commented.

“I am Colombian and I see this as a complete offense. Educate yourselves [sic] please,” María José Montenegro wrote.

“If you think this is ok you are very uneducated on exactly who Pablo Escobar was, the terrorist acts he caused and the lasting effect it has had on the Latin world,” Dossey Richards wrote.

The Pablo costume comes after both Walmart and Amazon faced harsh criticism for selling “Israeli Soldier Costume for Kids” costume.
