HALIFAX – A 15-year-old cyclist is suffering from non-life threatening injuries after being stuck in a hit and run on Tuesday evening.
Police responded to a vehicle-cyclist collision that happened just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Herring Cove Road and St. Michaels Avenue.
A car turning right from St. Michaels Ave. onto Herring Cove Road hit the cyclists back tire, causing him to fall into the road.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop, and continued along Herring Cove Road.
The cyclist was treated for non-life threatening injuries in hospital.
Officers want to speak with the driver of the vehicle, which is described as a beige Toyota Corolla. The only description of the driver is that he is a white man with short hair, between the ages of 40-60.
