Toronto Argonauts to play remaining home games at Rogers Centre

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts are returning to Rogers Centre.

Chris Rudge, the club’s executive chairman and CEO, announced Monday the team will play its remaining home games at the domed facility.

Scheduling conflicts with the Toronto Blue Jays being in the baseball playoffs forced the Argos out of their home stadium three times. One game was played in Ottawa while the other two were held in Hamilton.

But with the Jays eliminated from the post-season by the Kansas City Royals, Rudge said the Argos’ home games Friday night against B.C. and Nov. 6 versus Winnipeg will go ahead as scheduled.

Rudge also an Argos home playoff game would also be played at Rogers Centre.

“We would like to thank our fans for their patience during what has been a very unusual circumstance, especially those who travelled with us as we played home games in Ottawa and Hamilton,” Rudge said. “As promised, fans whose ticket packages included games that were displaced Oct. 6, Oct. 17 and Oct. 23 will now be fully reimbursed.”
