CALGARY – You may notice some of the young ones bringing a new dimension to your door when they come trick-or-treating this Halloween.
Professional voice actors are giving kids tips on how to get the right voice to go with their costume.
It’s part of the “Monster Mash-up” at Calgary’s Spark Science Centre, an event held Saturday Oct. 24th and Sunday Oct. 25th.
Voice coaches Elijah Lucian and Kaela Caron were warming up with an advance coaching session Friday morning.
Kids were trying to find the right sounds for the characters they’ll be dressing up as, everything from Batman to a hungry zombie.
According to Lucian, they may have an edge on adults when it comes to doing fun voices.
“Kids naturally embody their characters” he said “They’re more free. They’re able to explore their imagination, and it’s just great,” Lucian said.
