U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders impersonates comedian Larry David

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders did an impression of comedian Larry David, who did an impression of the presidential hopeful last week, and it was “pretty…pretty good.”

The Vermont senator and U.S. president hopeful was asked what he thought of David’s impression of him while the comedian was on Saturday Night Live last week.

The senator paused for a moment before responding.

“Well, umm…” he said to Kimmel. “I thought it was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good!”

His response was ripped from David’s tag line in the hit show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

David portrayed the U.S. senator in a parody of the Democratic presidential debate on SNL last week. The other U.S. senators were played as the following:

Hillary Clinton was portrayed by Kate McKinnon; Jim Webb played by Alec Baldwin.  Lincoln Chafee was portrayed by Kyle Mooney and Martin O’Malley portrayed by Taran Killam.

Jon Rudnitsky played CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.
