The deal, which is subject to “certain openers” over the period of the contract, covers some 6,500 flight attendants at Air Canada, the country’s largest airline, and 700 at its low-cost carrier, Air Canada Rouge.

It is the fifth collective agreement reached between the airline and it employees in the last year, including a 10-year collective agreement concluded with the airlines 3,000 pilots in October 2014.
