Liberal Michael Levitt has retaken the longtime party stronghold of York Centre.

Conservative Mark Adler scored a major upset here in 2011, defeating Liberal MP Ken Dryden and ending a Grit dynasty dating back to 1962.

Levitt pulled out a slim victory, winning by just a few percentage points.

However, it was entirely a two-horse race, as the NDP placed a very distant third.
