LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Regional Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in Kinsmen Park Monday morning.
Just after 8:00 a.m. officers cordoned off the scene along the 1000 block of 9th Avenue South.
Police say they have identified the victim and are working to notify his family.
Investigators say there was no visible trauma to his body, but can’t yet release details on a possible cause of death.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday in Calgary.
In a press release, Lethbridge police said, “at this time there is no evidence to suggest any ongoing risk to the general public.”
Police are asking anyone who was in Kinsmen Park area during the early morning hours or anyone with information about this matter to call 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers.
