Bail hearing to take place this week for accused murderer

HALIFAX — William Sandeson, the man accused of killing a fellow Dalhousie student, will be trying to get out of jail this week.

The 22-year-old is charged with the first degree murder of Taylor Samson, also 22. Despite an extensive search at a Lower Truro, N.S. property, Samson’s remains have never been located.

Sandeson is applying for bail with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court. A judge has scheduled Wednesday and Thursday to hear arguments on why Sandeson should be released on bail pending his murder trial.
