Calgary Dinos down Saskatchewan Huskies 44-15

SASKATOON – Quarterback Andrew Buckley threw for 427 yards with two touchdowns and ran for another as the No. 1 Calgary Dinos hammered the Saskatchewan Huskies 44-15 on Friday in Canadian Interuniversity Sport football action. Calgary (6-0) clinches first place and will have home field advantage throughout the Canada West playoffs while Saskatchewan falls to 2-4.

Rashaun Simonise had six catches – including two for touchdowns – to go along with 130 receiving yards. Brett Blaszko also caught six passes from Buckley for 93 yards.

Mercer Timmis, Bryce Harper and Jimmy Underdalh all rushed for touchdowns for the Dinos, who racked up 173 team yards on the ground.

Huskies starting QB Drew Burko tossed one TD with two interceptions and had 193 yards in the air. Back-up Kyle Siemens threw for 125 yards, with a TD and a pick.

Calgary led 28-7 at the half and built its lead to 44-8 before Siemens hooked up with Julan Lynch for a TD with just 18 seconds to play.
