WATCH: Koko the gorilla adopts two kittens into her family

A new video released by The Gorilla Foundation is bound to make you say “aww” as Koko, the signing gorilla, falls in love with two kittens.

The famous primate got her first kitten in 1983, named him All Ball and mourned his death when it was hit by a car. The children’s book Koko’s Kitten was published in 1985 about her relationship with All Ball.

She would later befriend more cats throughout the years.

This summer, Koko was introduced to another litter of kittens for her 44th birthday.

In the adorable video, Koko reaches into a box of playful kittens and picks up Ms. Grey and cradles her. She even asks her caregiver to place Ms. Grey on her head.

Then a little black cat named Ms. Black also befriends Koko, and the two kittens play with the gentle beast.

The video’s description says that Koko loves babies and cats and Ms. Grey and Ms. Black have “energized her whole world. Not only have Koko’s maternal and play instincts kicked in, but she is signing more to her caregivers and generating new content every day.”
