CALGARY- Graphic pictures were shown to a Calgary courtroom on Wednesday as the medical examiner detailed injuries suffered by Craig Kelloway in Nicholas Rasberry’s murder trial.

The medical examiner testified Kelloway was stabbed 37 times and that several wounds were so deep, they went through his ribs, puncturing his lung and aorta. His jugular vein was also cut. Toxicology results reveal Kelloway’s blood alcohol was 0.30 per cent, which is nearly four times the legal driving limit. Rasberry spent much of the morning with his eyes closed as evidence was presented.

Kelloway, a Calgary teacher, was stabbed to death on May 4, 2013. Rasberry is charged with second-degree murder in connection with his death.

The two met earlier that day in Auburn Bay. The men lived two doors apart and got together for a barbecue and drinks.
