EDMONTON – Danielle Smith’s busty bus is a joke that just keeps on giving.
Photos of the Alberta Wildrose party leader’s election bus went everywhere last week, because of the paint job – the dual rear tires fell just below the neckline of her photo plastered on the side.
The paint job has since been changed, but late-night comedian Jay Leno couldn’t resist getting a dig in during his popular Headlines segment on the “Tonight Show.”

He introduced the photo as being of a Canadian woman running for public office.
He then let the picture speak for itself.
“I would move the wheels down,” he said as the audience chortled. “It just looks bad.”
Leno uses the Headlines segment to poke fun at printing errors and peculiarities in news stories and advertisements.
The Wildrose bus photo was sandwiched between a personal ad looking for a “soil” mate and a flyer for Assman’s Funeral Chapel in Prince George, B.C.
Smith and the Wildrose are seen as the prime contender to challenge the Tories in the Alberta election April 23.
The party wondered if it might be the butt of late-night jokes when it tweeted the picture of the fixed paint job last week.
“May not get on late-night TV, but we’re good to go!” the party said.
Some bits are just too good to pass up.
