EDMONTON — What a difference a day makes.
On Saturday, Edmontonians were basking in the heat of a rare October day that saw temperatures reach the mid-20°C mark. Come Sunday morning, the mercury had dipped and windy conditions moved in.
A wind warning was in effect for the City of Edmonton and several surrounding areas for much of the day Sunday. Wind gusts of up to 90km/h were expected, according to Environment Canada. The wind warning for the Edmonton area was dropped Sunday afternoon.
Conditions are expected to improve throughout the day as the system moves into Saskatchewan, but several people took to social media Sunday to share the damage caused by the wicked weather.
