CALGARY – Several birds at a central Alberta wildlife rehabilitation centre were found shot and killed Friday morning.
Staff at the Medicine River Wildlife Centre west of Innisfail say they found eight crows and ravens shot by what they suspect to be a pellet gun.
The centre’s executive director thinks the shooter specifically targeted the common birds.
Carol Kelly told Global News that there are other cages with eagles and owls and hawks, which weren’t harmed.
