Downtown shooting lands three in hospital

EDMONTON — Three men are in hospital after an overnight shooting on 109 Street north of Jasper Avenue.

Several shots rang out around 2:30 a.m. Friday, according to Edmonton police.

It’s unclear why the three men were targeted, but police do not believe this was a drive-by shooting.

The incident occurred on the street near the Pint Public House and Executive lofts.

Police said they still don’t have the shooter in custody, and are not ruling out several suspects.

Investigators were meeting with witnesses and victims through the overnight hours.
