KELOWNA – After many months of steady growth, Okanagan home sales have taken a sizeable step back.
The number of single-family homes sold in September dropped about 12 per cent compared to the same month last year.
The statistics from the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board cover communities from Peachland to Revelstoke.
The biggest decline was in the normally strong central Okanagan area where 212 single-family homes were sold last month.
That’s down more than 14 per cent from September, 2014.
The OMREB reports inventory of homes for sale remains low with little upward movement in recent months.
