An unusual story about an East Vancouver man being “attacked” by an overly friendly crow just got a little more peculiar.
Steven Huynh was biking last week when a crow took a particular liking to his backpack. The ordeal went on for several minutes and he was able to catch it on video.
But some are suggesting the crow, which locals have creatively named “Crow,” may have travelled from B.C.’s Interior where he made friends with a man named Pigeon.

Greg Pigeon of 108 Mile Ranch says he spotted the bird months ago after it kept hanging around his place. When he heard about he East Van crow, he called his son right away.
“I said, ‘Son, your crow is alive. It’s down in Vancouver.'”
So how does Pigeon know the East Van crow is the same one that was in 108 Mile Ranch? The answer may be wrapped around the bird’s leg.
“I put that little orange band around its foot so we could tell which crow was ours,” said Pigeon.
Bird experts say the 300-kilometre-plus journey from 108 Mile Ranch to Vancouver is not that far for a crow.
If it is the same bird, Pigeon is hoping it will return to 108 Mile Ranch when spring arrives and temperatures rise. Or maybe Crow will fly back in need of a break from the big city.
