WATCH: Malala Yousafzai wows Stephen Colbert with magic trick

Already among the world’s most accomplished teenagers, Malala Yousafzai has added another item to her impressive resume: sleight of hand.

The 18-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner and New York Times bestselling author appeared on Late Night with Stephen Colbert last Friday and demonstrated her magic skills for the host.

“I understand that besides inspiring people, you can also do a little bit of magic,” Colbert joked. “Could I see your card trick?”

After showing off a “trick” of his own, Colbert turned the floor over to Yousafzai, who proceeded to wow him and his audience with a more-than-passable card trick.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Her name is Malala Yousafzai…and she’s appearing at Caesars Palace!” an impressed Colbert quipped.

Colbert would later remark on Twitter that it was his favorite moment of his new show so far.

Yousafzai has achieved worldwide acclaim for her role as a spokesperson for women’s and children’s education both in her native Pakistan and around the world.

She was the subject of an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012, when a gunman boarded her school bus and shot her in the head at close range.

Since recovering from the attack, she has gone on to become one of the most prominent voices calling for women’s education, a cause for which she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, the youngest person ever to win the award.

A documentary about Yousafzai called “He Named me Malala” opens Oct. 2 in the U.S.
