EDMONTON – Edmonton is proud of its clean, beautiful parks and River Valley. Soon, you can help keep them that way.
The city is holding its annual fall River Valley Clean Up on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The Clean Up starts at 10 a.m., and will start at three city parks:
– George F. Hustler Park, at 95 Street and 98 Avenue
– Glastonbury Park, at Graham Court and Graham Wynd
– Giovanni Caboto Park, at 95 Street and 108A Avenue
If you want to volunteer, city officials ask that you bring gloves and dress appropriately for the weather. Snacks, coffee, and supplies, like gloves and garbage bags, will be provided.
The 15-to-Clean Challenge is also starting on Oct. 4. Participants are encouraged to take 15 minutes out of their day to pick up litter around their home, school or work.
People wishing to take part can pick up a free cleaning kit from any Edmonton Public Library.
