Brothers charged after body found in burned vehicle; RCMP hunt for third ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect

CALGARY – RCMP have charged two brothers in connection to the murder of a Calgary man last week, and are searching for another suspect considered armed and dangerous.

The body of 33-year-old Mohammed Saqib was found inside a burned-out vehicle along Township Road 280 and Range Road 283, northeast of Airdrie, at around 7 a.m. on September 18.

Theo Wheyee, 20, and Julius Wheyee, 28 were arrested in Calgary on Thursday. Both face charges of 2nd degree murder, arson and committing an indignity to a body.

Theo and Julius are scheduled to appear in Airdrie Provincial Court on Sept. 28.

Meanwhile, officers are searching for a third man thought to be connected to Saqib’s death.

Saad Mohamed Osman, 29, of Calgary is described as being 5’8” tall, 154 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

In a news release, police said Osman, who sometimes goes by the name Mustafa, is “armed and dangerous.” If spotted, officers advise not to approach him, and to call the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7267 or Crime Stoppers immediately.
