HALIFAX, NS – Scotia Square in downtown Halifax will soon see a major face-lift, as an estimated 7-million dollars worth of changes are right around the corner.
The major renovation includes a combination of retail, restaurant and office space, will start getting underway in October, and will take about a year to complete. Along with a sleek look, Scotia Square will grow about 20,000 square feet.

Escalators and elevators will take visitors between ground level on Barrington Street to the centre court, which will have a large, modern common space.
Escalators will also connect visitors with the top level of Scotia Square, where they can access Albemarle Street and the Barrington Street pedway.
The pedway link and centre court will be upgraded to flow into the recently renovated food court, known as “The MIX”.
The proposed renovations are the latest phase of a $10-million renovation of Scotia Square by Crombie.
