Staying true to taking trends and putting his own spin on things with amazing quality, affordable prices and wearable pieces is what Joe does best season after season.

“That’s our mandate, that’s really the underpinning of our entire brand essence,” he said.

“It’s interesting because we’re constantly moving the needle on the brand and trying to keep it interesting and exciting for consumers.”

As if the hectic preparations and last minute tweakings before the show weren’t chaotic enough, Joe and his wife Kim Newport, designer of Pink Tartan are showcasing their lines a day after each other.

“Yeah, it is really hectic, like crazy hectic. We’ve got our daughter that we have to shuffle back and forth and early morning interviews, and dinners we have to go to and meeting with people from out of town, so it’s been a crazy run up,” he said.

When asked if a collaboration could be seen in the future, Joe responded:

“Well, I think we’ve done that quite well… Our daughter is probably our best collaboration so far.”

Joe celebrated his f/w 2012 collection with his wife, his team and other designers at his private after cocktail party at The Shore Club at 155 Wellington St. West in Toronto. Global Fashion was in attendance.
