CALGARY – Hundreds of Cochrane residents experienced a brief power outage on Monday.
The Cochrane Fire Department said the outage was due to a power pole fire along Mountain Ridge Place which sparked at around 3 a.m.

Fortis Alberta had to shut off power for 3,300 customers in Cochrane and Rocky View County from 3:40 a.m. to 4:12 a.m. to make some repairs.
The cause of the pole fire is not known.
