The conservation centre is part of the Journey to Churchill exhibit and is home to wildlife education and research.

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy has been working to raise $200 million for redevelopment at the Zoo.  The donation from the Leatherdale family now means they’ve raised $133 million of that goal

Some of the money has already been put towards the Heart of the Park, as well as the Nature Playground and the expansion of the Riley Family Duck Pond.
